Ametop Gel 1.5g

Please be aware that this product must be used within one month following dispensing from the pharmacy. The reason being once it has been kept at room temperature during delivery process, its shelf life is reduced to 28 days only.

Ametop Gel is a white semi-transparent gel containing 4%w/w of tetracaine.

Ametop Gel is a local anaestheticwhich produces numbness of the skin.
Ametop is used to relieve the pain when needles are inserted into a vein for giving an injection or taking a blood sample.

Also available Ametop Dispensing Pack containing 12 x 1.5g Ametop gel tubes and 24 x 6 x 7cm dressings.

Warnings:
Do not use Ametop Gel on: Wounds, Broken skin, Lips, mouth, or tongue, Eyes or ears, Anal and genitai region, Mucous membranes.

Shelf Life
Within the recommended shelf life of 2 years at 2-8°C, the product, following dispensing, may be stored for up to 1 month at 25°C at point of use.
If you need a medicine with long expiry date, then please order Emla Oceam, it contains similar ingredients but longer shelf life of up to 3 years and no fridge storage restrictions.

Ingredients:
Purified water, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum (E415), Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Methyl and Propyl-p-Hydroxybenzoates (E217 and E219).
